Three Peas in a Pod

Today was an average Tuesday which is normally me, Rayna, and Phil. We also had Andrew in who is one of our new interns. So I spent a  lot of time explaining things to him and showing him how things run during the course of the day.Val didn't come in the afternoon so she ended up staying with us from then on and Phil went back to Cheetahs. Because she was there we were able to do try and get blood on Tau doing a voluntary blood draw through the tail vein. We have been training Tau to lie still in a chute while we pull his tail under the fence, shave it, and draw blood from it. He did very very well today, but Benji (our vet) had a hard time getting blood because the tail vein is very small that far down the tail. We may have to try and shift Tau so we are able to pull more of his tail out and reach higher up the tail to get blood. But it was good to see how well Tau is doing with this.

Unrelated, but Sarbi checking out the tree in the morning.

We got a lot  of cleaning done at black bears today. We completely scrubbed out the huts and picked up yard D. I was glad because this gave me a good opportunity to snag some great photos of all three bears together.
